SARAH TRAINOR - CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST & EMDR THERAPIST
I believe that it is our nature to bloom – we just need to cultivate the right conditions…
- Wanting to address a traumatic experience or psychological distress (anxiety, depression, stress), but you don't want to wait for months (or even years) of therapy to address it
- Dissatisfied with the traditional approach to therapy because you felt like there was not enough time to get to the root of the issue
- Seeking therapy for change (not just the support of having someone to talk to)
- Wanting to be able to leave the past in the past, so you can respond to the present in a more balanced way
If yes, then Bloom EMDR Intensive Therapy might be for you.

Bloom Psychology & Yoga Therapy
HI, I'm Sarah.
I am a clinical psychologist, EMDR therapist, certified yoga teacher and yoga therapist. I have spent 20 years learning, practicing and teaching the tools and concepts that support people to feel better about themselves and experience more peacefulness in their lives.
I believe that Bloom EMDR Intensive Therapy brings to you beneficial psychological and yogic resources in an efficient therapeutic format.

EMDR INTENSIVE THERAPY
My Psychology, EMDR & Yoga Journey
I am a clinical psychologist having worked in the field of psychology for over 20 years. My clinical experience ranges across a wide variety of settings including work in the areas of addiction treatment, adult mental health, couples therapy and working with families. I am also a certified yoga teacher and yoga therapist and have found that the practices of yoga enable people (myself included) to meet their nervous system where it is at and help return to a state of balance.
I was motivated to focus on EMDR therapy as a primary mode of intervention after seeing the impact it had on many clients. I also draw upon elements of other psychological frameworks (including CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based approaches and neuropsychological approaches) as an adjunct to this approach.
Bloom Psychology & Yoga Therapy
Why the Intensive Therapy format?
I now work exclusively with EMDR Intensive therapy because this approach is efficient and supports therapeutic momentum. Due to the short treatment period and longer sessions, both the client and the therapist can put maximum attention into the therapeutic process and consequently may accelerate results.
EMDR Intensive therapy supports therapeutic efficiency and momentum. It enables maximum therapy hours to be spent on addressing the root of an issue as less focus is required for the ‘catching-up and closing-down’ elements of the therapy session. As therapy is occurring over a short period, less life is happening simultaneously, thereby reducing the likelihood of issues arising that can divert attention and impede momentum.
