Bloom EMDR Intensives ARe Now Available
Do you feel that the traditional way of therapy doesn’t meet your needs? Perhaps it’s due to:
- You're looking for help immediately and don't want to spend months following the traditional Psychology & EMDR therapy model to improve.
- You are motivated for change but spending a lot of therapy time talking about the concerns / crises that arise between sessions (which seem important in the short term, but not helping in the long term). This shifts focus away from the treatment objective and ultimately slows progress.
- Your routine doesn't match up with the therapy schedule, making it challenging to set aside and maintain the time necessary to focus on therapy over several months.
- You are already seeing another therapist regularly but require additional, targeted support.

A Focused, Intensive Therapy Approach Could Suit You
The traditional model of therapy does not serve everyone. That’s why we are excited to announce Bloom EMDR Intensive Therapy treatment programs. These therapeutic programs involve, after a month of extensive client preparation, scheduling long sessions (2 hours) close together (3 per week).
We offer both standard and intensive EMDR therapy to individuals from Mitcham and other locations across South Australia. For those unable to visit in person, our dedicated Online Psychology Services are available to support you.

EMDR Therapy & Psychology in Mitcham, SA
About Our Program
We offer several treatment programs to meet individual needs. Our Standard treatment program is the equivalent to approximately 11 sessions in the traditional fortnightly format of therapy which would take approximately 5 months (or more) to complete.
In this intensive approach we have an opportunity to work through the 8 phases of EMDR therapy and target the root of an issue. This approach is intentional and efficient in terms of time, energy and progress. Research also supports that it is effective in improving wellbeing*.

Bloom Psychology & Yoga Therapy
Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m a clinical psychologist, EMDR therapist and a certified yoga teacher and yoga therapist. My extensive experience in the field of psychology has been cultivated over 20 years of practice in the field, working across many different settings, clients and psychological conditions. I am a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and The EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA).
My practice is built around EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) therapy, after recognising the positive impact it has had on many of my clients. In addition, I have completed advanced training in psychological techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and neuropsychological-based therapies, which enhance my EMDR approach. I now focus solely on EMDR Intensive therapy, allowing us to concentrate on the core issues of your mental health, without the interference of daily life’s fluctuations.
I am enthusiastic about sharing methods, approaches, and ideas to help people work through mental health struggles and to guide them towards feeling better and more at peace.
